It was so cool to go on a tour of the Erie Canal. The lock system was very cool. Also we toured some caves where factories used water to power their buildings for so cheap! It was very interesting.
Bridges were built upside down for a while.
We got to ride a boat in the cave. The water drips bad in the cave at this point, and I got drenched! I tried my best to keep Everett dry, and he didn't get wet.
Next we went to Palmyra. We went to the Sacred Grove where Joseph Smith went to pray to Heavenly Father to know the true church. It was so awesome to come with the family. The kids enjoyed having some space to be kids. Saniya tripped and literally ate dirt! I am pretty sure Jared got it on camera. So funny! She didn't even freak out.
We stayed the night at the Newark Garden Hotel, We had no idea it was right on the Erie Canal. So cool that we just toured the canal at Lockport. We enjoyed swimming and relaxing before the Hill Cumorah Pageant.

The wicked King Noah
We got to the pageant 2 hrs early. We walked up the hill where the gold plates were buried, and then waited for the start of the show. We are glad we were early to get seats. The ground was WET. A cool thing, before the show all the cast goes around and talks to the audience. This couple was from Sweden. It was their second year participating in the pageant.
The kids were so good. when the show started all the cast was up on stage. The kids asked if it was finally over, Nope kiddos, just started babes!
